Wedding Colour Issue Brown&Yellow (Sunflowers) or Black/White/Lavender?

I have been planning my wedding to be held October 2009 for about a month now.I though I was set on my colours/theme and had tons of ideas I was going to use sunflowers with a chocolate and yellow country rustic theme. I have even planted my own sunflowers to see what kind I might like to use. I was going to use terra cotta pots tied with some hemp and a bow and personalized sunflower seed packets as favors Now my feiance (who has decided he dosen't want to provide much input) has told me that he thinks lavender is the best for a wedding colour, and I would like to incorporate his ideas into the wedding, naturally. So now I have to make a decision, the origional borwn/yellow or the new idea of black/white/lavender (which would be more sophisticated and modern than the country/rustic idea.) does anybody have some pictures/ideas/opinions for either to help in this decision???
