Consumers need to stand up?

Consumers are being ripped off by America’s big business. Prices in grocery stores are going crazy. Gasoline and heating oil is almost unaffordable. Cars are expensive; repairs are even more expensive. Things like garbage collection, telephone and TV service, are too high. Prices go up faster than wages. CEOs and stock holders are getting richer while most Americans are struggling to just get by. Many are cutting back on essentials so they can keep warm and have enough for the family to survive on. Isn't it time the consumers rebelled and made a national effort to force prices to a reasonable level? How would you suggest we do this? Possibly boycott stores, solicit as many people nation wide as possible to boycott one chain until it yields then take on another; distribute information on what stores seem to be ripping people off the most? Can we boycott a certain gas company nation wide until that company yields then take on another?
