I have a old Sears Craftmans chain drive garage door. The door opens about 3 ft, then gets stuck.?

The carriage moves a few feet then stops. It looks like it is sticking on one area of the track. I don't see any obstruction on the carriage. I can unlock the door arm from the carriage and manually open and close the door so I don't think the side track mounts are obstructing either. DOes the carriage track need to be lubricated or greased??
